The Koenigsegg Agera S Hundra

The Koenigsegg Agera S Hundra (hundra means 100 in Swedish) was revealed to celebrate the 100th model that Koenigsegg has produced in 10 years, with special 24 kt. gold inlays and accents, carbon-fiber enhancements to the body, wheels, exterior, and interior, to make it possibly the lightest hypercar on earth.  There’s no exact figure for how much it sold to the wealthy Chinese businessman it was immediately shipped to, but we can assume it approaches the territory of the $4 million Lamborghini Veneno.

The Hundra’s predecessor is the Agera R, which broke six world records for a production car.  The difference is that the Agera R was made to run on E85 biofuel, and the Agera S was built for markets without access to that biofuel.  Seeing as how an Agera S just sold for $5.3 million in Singapore, it would appear that was a good move, even if you only make about 10 cars a year on average.

Also, Koenigsegg literally reinvented the wheel to make the Agera S lighter, unveiling the Aircore.  A hollow one-piece of carbon fiber has reduced the weight of the wheel drastically while increasing its strength by 41%.

And with all of its selling points, consider the coup de grace to be that this is the only hypercar that can fit a set of golf-clubs in its 120L front luggage bin, as well as the removable top.  A GT hypercar?  Whatever you define this car as, it’s every man’s dream, and I hope the lucky Chinese businessman who drives this around gets the recognition he deserves as he screams by in his one-of-a-kind, beautiful rocket sled.
